To accelerate our AI implementation efforts, we are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable AI Engineer to join our Center of Excellence team within Corporate IT. This role focuses on the execution and development of AI solutions designed by our AI Solutions Architects, requiring strong technical implementation skills and a passion for bringing innovative AI concepts to life. You will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining AI-powered solutions that transform our business operations, enhance employee productivity, and create sustainable competitive advantages.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technologist with deep expertise in AI toolsets, agentic orchestration platforms, and modern development environments. We're looking for someone who can rapidly adapt to new technologies, understand their AI capabilities, and effectively implement solutions that drive business value. The position is based in Chennai, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with AI Solutions Architects to translate high-level designs into technical implementations, providing feedback on feasibility and suggesting improvements
• Build and implement AI solutions based on architectural designs and specifications provided by AI Solutions Architects, ensuring robust, scalable, and maintainable code
• Develop and evolve AI-powered tools and platforms including Abacus.ai, Workato iPaaS solutions for agentic orchestration, and organization-wide AI development tools such as Cursor
• Create intelligent automation workflows that leverage natural language understanding and data signals to trigger agentic actions and business processes
• Integrate AI capabilities with existing business applications, collaboration platforms (such as Slack), data sources, and IT infrastructure to create seamless end-to-end solutions
• Design and implement data connectivity solutions that enable AI systems to access, process, and act upon various data sources for intelligent decision-making
• Develop sophisticated prompting strategies and conversation flows that effectively translate business requirements into actionable AI responses and automated workflows
• Build and maintain AI-powered intelligent agents that can orchestrate complex business processes and provide autonomous problem-solving capabilities
• Optimize AI solution performance through efficient coding practices, resource management, and continuous monitoring of deployed systems
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on AI implementations, conducting testing and validation to ensure solutions meet business requirements and performance standards
• Maintain and evolve existing AI solutions, implementing updates, bug fixes, and enhancements based on user feedback and changing business needs
• Document technical implementations, code standards, and operational procedures to support knowledge sharing and system maintenance
• Stay current with emerging AI tools and platforms, continuously learning new technologies and evaluating their potential for business applications
  
  

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience with at least 1+ years focused on AI/ML implementation and deployment in enterprise environments
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and familiarity with MLOps tools
• Proven experience with AI platforms and tools such as Abacus.ai, OpenAI APIs, Anthropic Claude, or similar enterprise AI solutions
• Hands-on experience with iPaaS platforms like Workato, Zapier, or similar tools for creating automated workflows and integrations
• Proficiency with modern development tools including AI-assisted coding environments like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-powered development platforms
• Strong data integration skills with experience connecting to various data sources (APIs, databases, cloud storage) and implementing data pipelines for AI applications
• Understanding of agentic AI concepts including prompt engineering, conversation design, and autonomous agent development
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and experience with RESTful APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a track record of debugging complex technical issues and optimizing system performance
• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Adaptability and continuous learning mindset with demonstrated ability to quickly master new AI tools and technologies
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with strong project management skills and ability to deliver solutions on time and within scope
