Overview
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java-based microservices using frameworks like Spring Boot.
- Implement and manage Apache Kafka for messaging, event streaming, and real-time data processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, testers, and product owners to define and deliver scalable software solutions.
- Build RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration between services.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance bottlenecks and code issues.
- Participate in code reviews for quality assurance and mentoring junior developers.
- Ensure CI/CD pipeline integration and follow DevOps best practices.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and evolving technologies in microservices and Kafka.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 3-8 years (varies by level) of hands-on Java development experience.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying microservices architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for message brokering and stream processing.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in agile teams.
- Expertise in Java 8+ and Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is favorable.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and service mesh technologies.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
- Familiarity with Git version control and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
