Role Overview

We’re looking for an AI Engineer who can work with our 3rd-party AI agency and build agentic workflows that automate real user tasks end-to-end.

You’ll play a key role in designing and orchestrating AI agents, ensuring they reliably execute financial and operational workflows within the BON ecosystem.

The role suits someone with strong hands-on engineering experience, solid ML foundations, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-moving, PMF-stage startup.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and deploy agentic workflows for user task automation.
• Work closely with and manage delivery from a 3rd-party AI agency.
• Integrate AI agents with BON’s backend (Firebase) and internal tools.
• Build LLM workflows using LangChain or LlamaIndex and work with vector databases.
• Design workflows leveraging Lamagraph, CodeDB, and vector search systems.
• Oversee integrations with backend services built on Node.js.
• Implement caching and data storage solutions using PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Deploy and optimize workflows across AWS, Google Cloud, or Cloudflare-based environments.
• Experiment with new AI capabilities, evaluate models, and optimize pipeline performance.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate user needs into automated experiences.
• Maintain reliability, accuracy, and safety across all AI-driven features.
  
  
  

• 2–5 years of software engineering or applied AI experience.
• Strong ML knowledge with proficiency in Python.
• Experience building AI agents / agentic workflows.
• Solid understanding of orchestration, tool use, and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with Node.js backend ecosystem.
• Database experience: PostgreSQL + Redis (cache & state).
• Experience working with LangChain / LlamaIndex, vector DBs, and embedding-based retrieval.
• Exposure to workflows involving Lamagraph, CodeDB, or similar.
• Cloud familiarity: AWS, Google Cloud, and Cloudflare environments.
• Flexibility to work with different LLMs (current stack includes Sonnet & LLaMA 3.1).
• Comfortable working with Firebase and modern backend stacks.
• Adaptable, hands-on, and eager to work in a PMF-seeking, fast-iteration environment.
• Experience in B2B or B2C product companies.
