Associate Data Engineer

What Success Looks Like In This Role

• Gains familiarity with Data Engineering tooling, concepts, practices and methodologies.
• With guidance, performs standard data engineering duties, including:
  
  

 o Working with technical colleagues and supported teams to understand business and associated data requirements,

 o Building data management infrastructure for optimal data extraction, transformation and loading,

 o Identifying, designing and delivering data management process improvements,

 o Constructing data pipeline workflows and schedules,

 o Writing and optimizing SQL and other queries,

 o Troubleshooting and helping resolve data-related technical issues, and

 o Providing ongoing support, monitoring and maintenance of deployed products in a ‘build-and-run’ model.

• Gains exposure and experience with gathering raw, structured, semi-structured and unstructured data using batch and real-time data processing frameworks.
• Learns and applies relevant database / data management, security and related standards and policies.
• Assists with projects as assigned.
  
  

You will be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
