ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to bridge the gap between UK-based Product Management and offshore delivery teams. You will own backlog quality, translate business needs into actionable user stories, and ensure every sprint starts with shared understanding across Dev, QA, and Product.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with UK Product Owners to understand, challenge, and refine business requirements
Translate requirements into well-structured user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria (BDD / Given-When-Then)
Maintain a clean, prioritised, sprint-ready product backlog at all times
Facilitate requirement walkthroughs, backlog refinement, and sprint planning sessions
Act as primary requirements interface between UK Product Management and offshore Dev/QA teams
Clarify requirements during implementation and resolve ambiguity quickly with engineering teams
Support UAT planning — reviewing test cases against acceptance criteria and ensuring business sign-off readiness
Proactively identify and escalate requirement gaps, risks, and dependencies before they impact delivery
Produce process flows, use cases, functional specifications, and data mappings as required
Contribute to retrospectives and continuous improvement of Agile delivery processes
REQUIRED SKILLS
Core BA:
8–12 years of Business Analysis experience in Agile software delivery environments
Strong user story writing — BDD / Given-When-Then, INVEST principles, clear acceptance criteria
Analytical skills — ability to decompose complex business processes into clear, actionable requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication — comfortable with senior stakeholders and technical audiences
Proven experience maintaining and grooming a product backlog to sprint-ready quality
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Experience in distributed teams with UK/India time zone collaboration
Ability to facilitate sessions, ask probing questions, and challenge ambiguous requirements confidently
Strong relationship-building with both business and technical stakeholders
Experience supporting QA and Dev during implementation
Tools & Process:
Azure DevOps or Jira — epics, stories, tasks, sprint boards
Confluence, SharePoint, or similar documentation platforms
Process modelling — BPMN, swimlane diagrams, wireframing (Balsamiq / Figma)
Agile/Scrum — sprint planning, refinement, stand-up, review, retrospective
GOOD TO HAVE
Domain experience in Healthcare, BFSI, Insurance, or Enterprise SaaS
Exposure to API-first or microservices delivery — understanding API contracts
Basic SQL for requirement validation and data mapping
IIBA CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent BA certification
Familiarity with UK regulatory requirements (GDPR, FCA, NHS standards)
Prior onshore-offshore BA liaison experience (UK clients, Indian delivery)
