Business Analyst

Job brief

We are looking for a Business Analyst (BA) who will be the vital link between our Product Owner and Product Development team by defining and documenting detailed product requirements in the form of User Stories with Acceptance Criteria for Software Developers to develop to. The BA will also support other teams with expert product knowledge and analysis skills to assist them in best servicing our customers.

Responsibilities

• Define detailed User Stories with Acceptance criteria, broken down into sufficiently small scope to ensure successful delivery by the Software team in a sprint
• Assist Test Automation Engineers in the preparation of test cases and scripts to ensure a high quality product release
• Use ‘Specification by Example’ (SBE) as a technique to enhance development team productivity and clarity for business stakeholders
• Define reporting and alerting requirements in collaboration with the Product Owner and other product experts
• Own and develop professional relationship with the Product Owner to ensure excellence in actionable user stories for the development team
• Help design, document and maintain system processes and workflows
• Collaborate with the technical support team to report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to product team
• Communicate key insights and findings to product team for consideration to include in the product backlog
• Over time, become a product expert, constantly on the lookout for ways to improve our product, discovering issues and delivering better value to the customer
• Assist the Team Lead in managing the team sprints and backlog in AzureDevOps

Requirements and skills

• 5+ years previous experience in Business / Systems Analysis
• A degree in IT / Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience in eliciting requirements and defining acceptance criteria for testing
• Professional experience with writing ‘Specification by Example’ (SBE) acceptance criteria
• Professional experience with Azure DevOps (preferred) or Jira
• Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
• Competent in writing SQL and non-SQL (mongoDB) queries
• Professional knowledge in generating business process documentation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, especially technical writing skills, to ensure effective collaboration with business stakeholders, management, and customers
• Proven aptitude to learn new business domains to become a ‘goto’ expert

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
