We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of CONSULTANT SPECIALIST.

The MSS Transformation global team is a strategic team responsible for delivering end-to-end change initiatives across Markets and Securities Services (MSS) business line. This team leads the implementation of Global Strategic, Regulatory & Mandatory Programs, partnering with stakeholders across MSS asset classes, Treasury, Finance, Operations, Compliance and Technology to deliver value through the implementation of high impact change initiatives. MSS Central Transformation tooling team is responsible for the providing all technical and strategic tooling solutions to support a global portfolio of CTB initiatives and a total investment of ≈USD950m.

The MSS Transformation team in India leads the build out of the MSS capabilities in India and partners with global teams to drive best practices and delivery of mission critical initiatives across the MSS portfolio.

The Opportunity:

Within the Markets and Securities Services (MSS) business line, the MSS Central Transformation Governance and Tooling team is a central team of experienced technical professionals responsible for providing tooling support to the Central Transformation PMO team, multiple large scale regulatory programmes, as well as change programmes relating to business asset classes and operational efficiency. Comprehensively, the team is responsible for:

  • Supporting the data governance and tooling team currently aligned to MSS, one of the largest area within CIB
  • Developing and monitoring improved data metrics & data visualization to meet BAU and reporting requirements, supporting group tooling adaption to make sure that the data metrics are consistently reported & easily extracted
  • Collaborating with global MSS business sponsors, execution owners and functional leads to maintain key measures of accountability, baselined plans and progress reporting
  • Support the group tooling advances and enabling MSS portfolio transformations in line with the group wide initiatives. Supporting in line with MSS’ long-term strategy on the Generative AI modelling in portfolio management area
  • Unblock critical issues and arbitrate data discrepancies, thus reducing administrative burden by supporting MSS Transformation reporting updates to appropriate leadership forums.

This is a new role acting as a key member of the MSS Central Transformation governance and tooling function. This role will report into the Governance and Data Analytics Manager and will work closely with Central Governance team and all the Global MSS Programme Managers, to support in various tooling, data analysis & data visualization

The role requires a broad and comprehensive understanding of all aspects related to change delivery, associated frameworks, management of risk and controls while delivering large, complex (and often) regulatory changes. The role will also include the ongoing development and leadership of programme delivery processes including, amongst others, governance, reporting and financials.

In this role, you will:

The role will work with Central portfolio governance and tooling teams , global MSS Programme Managers, MSS Head of Strategy and Planning as well as the MSS Transformation CoE leadership to support programme and portfolio governance, reporting and control.

The role holder will perform a number of support/administration and analyst tasks to support ensure efficient project execution to agreed delivery timelines within Transformation by:

  • Contributing to designing and building optimized models, applications and reports to support the end-to-end tooling requirements for portfolio management team, portfolio leads and exco members.
  • Being an individual contributor to the team and engaging in project activities across the information cycle.
  • Being able to provide quick turn-around automations and reporting by creating data driven advance excel/python based solutions,
  • Showcasing ability to create data models and designs for optimal performance which are also scalable and can quickly digest the changes
  • Analyzing and estimating the new/change tooling requirements given by team and then use design thinking to conceive cutting edge technology solutions for the business problems
  • Operating in agile sprint delivery cycle by tracing progress with Agile metrics and optimize team performance. Proven experience in writing stories, managing backlogs
  • Effectively managing stakeholder expectations, timely communication during the delivery process
  • Bringing expertise to work with cross functional teams including programme management office, portfolio management team, engineering team etc
  • Managing appropriate governance and cadence, creation of reports and insights enabling decision making, driving continuous improvement and efficiency gains through use of innovation and automation.
  • Working closely with the delivery lead(s), key programme stakeholders and MSS Central Portfolio team to ensure various data points are corrected captured and reported for necessary governance forums (PSC/ Execution Board/ External forums etc.).
  • Work with other IT teams (global and regional), regional transformation team ensuring collation and dissemination of information is effective and efficient through usage of standardized processes and tools.

The role holder needs to perform his/her duties in alignment with the applicable Risk and Compliance frameworks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Data management, analysis and manipulation/transformation using multisource data sets
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience Excellent Excel, advance excel & PowerPoint skills(including more general data visualization using advance excel)
  • 5-6 years’ experience working with object-oriented programming such as Python is a must. Should have extensive knowledge of Pandas/Polars & coding fundamentals in Python
  • Must have experienced in designing /managing SharePoint sites and with working knowledge of lists, contain management and workflow management
  • 5-6 years’ Experience designing data visualization dashboards and wireframes (Qlik, PowerBI preferred)
  • Intermediate level experience with data pipeline creation & management (Python and/or SQL preferred) is expected
  • Experience in working in Agile Sprint models and should have good knowledge of agile ceremonies driven via Jira/Rally
  • Experience in Generative AI modelling i.e using LLM algorithms and develop/enhance the current models to seek business goals, optimize the current models to create light applications, scenario generators etc.as an added advantage
  • Experience in working cross GB/GF with multiple stakeholders having evidenced ability to collaborate and negotiate.
  • Evidence of strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Problem solving skills / driving continuous improvements to existing processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail is essential, as dealing with sensitive datasets in a regulatory context.
  • Working knowledge of PPM tools (Clarity, JIRA, Rally).
  • An understanding of the banking & capital markets regulatory environment.
