Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and Development Architect and implement scalable database solutions, including relational and NoSQL databases, to meet organizational needs.
- Performance Optimization Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning measures to enhance efficiency.
- Data Security Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard sensitive data, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Backup and Recovery Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
- Collaboration Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate database solutions into applications and support data requirements.
- Documentation Maintain comprehensive documentation of database structures, processes, and procedures for reference and compliance purposes.
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience : 3+ years of experience in database engineering, administration, or a related role.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or Redis.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Understanding of database security practices and compliance standards.
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Experience with big data technologies Himalayas
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
