DevOps Engineer III

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred).
• Lead end-to-end Kubernetes operations: provisioning, scaling, upgrades, storage, and production troubleshooting.
• Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and ArgoCD.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Drive observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, and related tools.
• Automate operational tasks such as scaling, failovers, disaster recovery, and security patching.
• Develop and manage Helm charts and Kubernetes Operators for standardized, secure deployments.
• Enforce Kubernetes best practices, including RBAC, Pod Security Policies / OPA / Gatekeeper and resource management.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortem processes.
• Collaborate closely with Development, QA, and Product teams to enhance system reliability and delivery speed.
• Contribute to DevOps documentation, internal knowledge base, and architectural best practices.
• Continuously improve cloud security posture and drive cost optimization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–9 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes (AKS preferred), including scaling, networking, persistent volumes, and upgrades.
• Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure and services (Azure preferred).
• Strong expertise with Docker, Linux, Helm, and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD).
• Well-versed in monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native security, identity management, and compliance practices.
• Strong communication, cross-team collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Istio or other service meshes.
• Exposure to security tools and practices (e.g., Azure Defender, policy as code, vulnerability scanners).
• Relevant certifications such as CKAD, CKA, or Azure Solutions Architect are a plus.
• Experience with cost optimization and observability at scale.
