Job Description
Leads IT project teams in providing IT solutions to complex, high-impact business problems from project request through implementation of integrated solutions and/or infrastructure services. Has ongoing accountability for all processes, resources, budgets and deliverables related to IT projects. Oversees the
team of internal and external IT resources as they plan, track and execute the project from start to completion. Recommends changes to improve the IT project management methodology.Classification into this job family requires approval of an IT Vice President.
Typically, career level role with deep experience and full understanding of area of specialization, gaining full understanding of one or more related fields; may begin developing specialized depth in a particular area of focus.
Uses extensive knowledge and experience to solve complex issues and contribute to the development of new programs, processes and techniques.
Plans, coordinates, and prioritizes work projects and resources with minimal direction.
Oversees and revises processes in area of responsibility and related fields, resolving complex and unique issues.
Increasingly proficient in determining and modifying methods and approaches to find solutions.
Contributes to the development of new projects/programs/processes.
Expected to operate and work independently; receives minimal guidance even on the most complex issues; consults on issues as needed or requested.
May train, or mentor others.
Leads projects requiring representation of the organization to internal and/or external customers or others, providing expertise and driving issue resolution and business solutions.
Demonstrates increasing thought leadership; experienced resource sought out internally and externally for consultation on area of specialization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
Post-graduate, certification and/or license may be required.
Typically, at least 6+ years relevant experience for entry into this level.
