About The Role

We are seeking a Software Developer. In this role, you will be a critical member of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial development team responsible for creating custom add-ons for our core banking software (DNA™).

About Our Business

DNA offers financial services organizations account processing platforms to streamline operations, quickly adapt to changing business needs and manage relationships in real-time and through all banking channels. The DNA Custom Solutions team provides software development services which allow our clients to maximize their use of DNA and surrounding products and optimize their business processes.

Position Summary

Software development, primarily using PL/SQL and SQR programming languages. In addition to software development and unit testing, you may participate in the documentation and UAT processes, and in problem resolution. Additionally, you will participate in our Application Validation team functions, confirming that software produced by our clients meets our high standards. This role involves working in collaboration with your peers in India and the United States. In this role, you will also assist as needed with other software development and support related activities relating to our team’s ability to effectively meet our clients’ needs.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Develop, test and document programs based on customer specifications.
• Ensure that the finished product is delivered on time and with high quality.
• Effectively communicate with peers and Business Analysts to ensure accurate and smooth delivery of products and services.
• Reviewing the software design, software (code) quality and software compliance as per defined DNAapp validation rules

Educational Qualification

• College / university level degree in software engineering field.
  
  

Job Related Experience

• 5-10 years’ development experience in PL/SQL. Must be open to learn SQR
• Writing Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views
• Exception handling and their types, Types of constraints, Indexes and Partitions, Oracle collections, Cursors and their types, PL/SQL debugging
• End to end experience across the entire software development lifecycle
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a project team in a cooperative effort
• Excellent communication skills - including writing and conversation (English)
  
  

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Candidates having development experience using Python will be preferred
• Familiarity with banking principles / banking software, from previous working experience.
• SQR software development experience. If the selected applicant does not have this experience, we will provide the training.
• SQL tuning, Optimization tools & techniques, Explain plans, AWRs, ADDM, OEM.
• Troubleshooting performance issues
• Parallel processing techniques
