Job Requirements
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to evaluate the in-vehicle infotainment system while the vehicle is driven, simulating real-world user experiences. The ideal candidate will execute a predefined set of test cases, identify defects, and provide detailed reports to ensure that the system meets quality and functionality standards.
Since the drive test is planned in Kerala, extending to other South India locations, this will require you to stay at rentals during travel periods.

The ideal candidate will execute a predefined set of test cases, identify defects, and provide detailed reports to ensure that the system meets quality and functionality standards.
Since the drive test is planned in Kerala, extending to other South India locations, this will require you to stay at rentals during travel periods.
Work Experience
- Bachelor’s, Diploma or equivalent required; degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in infotainment testing, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow test protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of testing methodologies and defect tracking tools.
- Automotive communication protocols: Familiarity with protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet etc.
- Experience in automotive IVI validation, testing, or related positions
- System validation: Experience in system validation within an Agile/Scrum environment
- OEM or Tier-1 supplier experience: Prior experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers
- Driving license with good driving records
- Execute test cases on the in-vehicle infotainment system to simulate real-world usage.
- Conduct thorough testing of infotainment features, including:
- Audio/Video playback
- Navigation
- Bluetooth connectivity
- Voice command
- Smartphone integration
- Other features as specified
- Conduct drive testing minimum 3 days a week
- Identify, document, and report defects or issues encountered during testing.
- Collaborate with engineers to reproduce and isolate defects.
- Provide detailed test reports, including steps to reproduce issues.
- Participate in defect triage meetings to discuss test results.
- Stay up to date with new infotainment system releases and updates.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, vehicle usage, and mileage.
- Collaborate with team to identify grey areas in software and perform detailed testing
- Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential system vulnerabilities and user experience improvements
