Project description

This role is focused on supporting and enhancing legacy enterprise applications built on traditional Core Java technologies. The developer will work on stable, business-critical systems within the Capital Markets domain, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability. The position involves working with established architectures and contributing to ongoing enhancements, defect resolution, and system optimization.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Core Java

Work on legacy systems with traditional Java-based architecture

Analyze existing codebase and implement enhancements with minimal disruption

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and defects

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and QA

Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to coding standards

Support system integration and data processing workflows

Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the team

Skills

Must have

8+ years of strong experience in Core Java

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts

Strong hands-on experience in Apache Camel and C2

Experience working on legacy or monolithic Java applications

Good knowledge of collections, multithreading, and exception handling

Experience with debugging and performance tuning

Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Ant

Understanding of relational databases and SQL

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Nice to have

Exposure to Capital Markets domain

Experience with messaging systems or batch processing

Familiarity with XML-based systems (e.g., MxML or similar)

Basic understanding of Unix/Linux environments

Experience with version control tools such as Git
