About The Role

The Network & Security Engineer will design, configure, and optimize network and security infrastructure across Alef’s sites and schools. This role will lead advanced configurations using Huawei iMaster NCE, Fortinet, and multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), with a focus on automation, scalability, and security compliance. They will also support project activities related to both HQ and Alef School infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement network and security architectures (segmentation, firewall policy, VPNs).
• Configure and optimize Huawei iMaster NCE for SDN, telemetry, and automation.
• Lead advanced FortiGate firewall configurations (UTM, deep packet inspection, NAT, SSL/IPsec VPN).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex routing and switching issues (OSPF, BGP, HA, multicast).
• Manage network transformation projects: cloud integrations, migrations, upgrades.
• Develop HLDs, LLDs, SOPs, and maintain design documentation.
• Perform in-depth cloud network design reviews and secure deployment architectures.
• Mentor L2 engineers and conduct knowledge transfers.
• Engage with AWS and Azure environments:
• VPC/VNet design, peering, NSGs, route tables.
• NVA integration (e.g., FortiGate VM on Azure/AWS Marketplace).
• Hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect).
• Ensure compliance with security standards and industry best practices.

To Be The Right Fit, You'll Need

• 5–8 years in network/security engineering roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications:
• Fortinet NSE 4–7
• Huawei HCIP/HCIE
• CCNP/CCIE (preferred)
• Azure/AWS Networking Specialty (plus)
• Demonstrated leadership in technical projects and RCA processes.
• Huawei iMaster NCE: Full SDN and automation capabilities.
• Fortinet: FortiOS, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer.
• L2/L3 technologies: STP, VLANs, HSRP/VRRP, EtherChannel.
• Advanced Routing: OSPF, BGP, redistribution, filtering.
• VPN: SSL/IPsec, GRE, DMVPN.
• Cloud Networking (Advanced):
• AWS: VPCs, route tables, NACLs, Transit Gateway.
• Azure: VNets, NSGs, UDRs, Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute.
• Cloud Marketplace: Deployment and optimization of FortiGate VM/virtual appliances.
• Automation/Scripting: Python, Ansible (preferred).
• Strong network security posture and compliance frameworks
