What You'll Do
Avalara is looking for someone to join our Pricing function. This position will help build data-informed pricing strategies and decisions. Your primary responsibility will be to manage pricing programs focused on business optimization, customer experience, and revenue growth from brainstorming through implementation. You will collaborate closely with teams including Product Management, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to ensure understanding of pricing strategies with organizational goals. What Your Responsibilities Will Be
- You will update and maintain pricing strategy templates and tools for consistent presentation and deliverable quality.
- You will work closely with Sales and Finance teams to implement pricing programs and monitor pricing performance.
- You will collaborate with Product and other teams to evaluate the impact of product changes or feature enhancements on pricing strategies.
- You will communicate recommendations to partners through clear and concise presentations and reports.
- You will continuously monitor main metrics and KPIs related to pricing effectiveness and provide insights for ongoing improvement.
- You will flex schedule and workload to address broader team priorities and work assignments based on urgency and timelines.
- You will report to the manager
Qualifications
- Education – bachelor's degree Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of related experience
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel
- Intermediate proficiency in SQL/Snowflake or similar (Good to have)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (PowerBI)
- Effective working both independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Intermediate proficiency with PowerBI.
- Experience with CRM software like Salesforce (CPQ).
- Experience working with US-based teams
- Experience with product-based companies.
- Experience with SaaS/technology-based solutions
