Job Description Summary:

Responsible for coding, unit testing, building high performance and scalable applications that meet the needs of millions of Walmart-International customers, in the areas of supply chain management ; Customer experience.

About Team:

Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.

What You'll Do

• You will work with the multiple teams and guide them on technical aspects, set quality standards and participate in design discussion and drive technical decisions
• Architecture ; Design Reviews across teams
• Code Reviews across teams
• Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
• Drive design, development, implementation and documentation
• Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide.
• Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives.
• You will use your engineering experience and technical skill to develop highly scalable and robust solutions. You will work with Engineering Lead/architect.
• Work closely with the Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost ; Delivery). Within the established architectural guidelines.
• Work with senior leadership to chart out the future roadmap of the products
• Participate in hiring and build teams enabling them to be high performing agile teams.
• You will help and participate with the teams that leverage and contribute to open source technologies to Make impact on a global scale
• Interact closely for requirements with Business owners and technical teams both within India and across the globe.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• 12+ years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable applications
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns)
• In-depth expertise in Java, Python, and ReactJS
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, microservices architecture, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Deep knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), and observability tools
• Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)
• Working knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Cassandra, Cosmos, Elastic Search) and GraphQL/REST/gRpc APIs
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mocha, TestNG, Selenium)
• Experience building event-based distributed systems with tools like Kafka
• Develop service contracts for RESTful web services using industry standards like Swagger and OpenAPI.
• Design and implement web service applications utilizing Java, JSON, REST, SOAP protocols, and the Spring Framework.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum)
• Exposure to AI/ML/GenAI concepts(Nice to Have)
• Master or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field .
