Python Developer Lead

The Role

As a Python Developer Lead, you’ll be a key contributor in designing, developing, and scaling our core products. You'll work across the entire software development lifecycle - from concept to deployment - while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to high-level architectural decisions. This is a high-impact role where technical expertise meets leadership.

What You’ll Do

Lead the design and development of robust, high-performance backend systems using Python.

Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Architect and implement system designs that are modular, efficient, and aligned with long-term goals.

Guide and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of clean, maintainable code.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, QA) to ensure smooth product delivery.

Optimize existing systems for scalability, performance, and reliability.

Stay updated with the latest developments in Python and backend technologies, and introduce best practices.

What You Bring

3+ years of hands-on experience with Python in production environments.

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and system architecture.

Proven experience in building and scaling backend systems and APIs.

Experience leading small to mid-sized engineering teams or mentoring junior developers.

Solid grasp of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

Familiarity with modern development tools and workflows (Git, Docker, CI/CD).

Experience in Agile development environments.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with microservices architecture.

Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Knowledge of frameworks like Django, FastAPI, or Flask.

Contribution to open-source projects or technical blogs.
