What You’ll Do

• Thoroughly test our learner and teacher web dashboards (Next.js) and mobile applications (Flutter/React Native) for usability, edge cases, and bugs.
• Conduct comprehensive API testing using tools like Postman to ensure secure data flow and proper backend responses.
• Develop, execute, and maintain detailed manual test cases and test plans based on product requirements.
• Create clear, step-by-step bug reports and track them through resolution using our issue tracking systems.
• Verify cross-browser compatibility and cross-device performance, ensuring a smooth experience on various screen sizes and operating systems.
• Collaborate closely with the engineering and operations teams to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure stable rollouts to our partner Deaf schools.

Technical Must-Haves

• Pursuing/completed a CS-related degree or equivalent self-taught experience (we give much more importance to practical experience).
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and manual testing processes.
• Hands-on experience or demonstrated ability to test both web and mobile applications from a user-centric perspective.
• Familiarity with RESTful API testing using Postman, Insomnia, or similar tools.
• Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM) and client-server architecture.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., GitHub Issues, Jira, Linear) and clear documentation practices.

• Collaboration — work asynchronously across product, design, and engineering using Slack, Notion, and GitHub.

Nice-to-Have Extras

• Live testing portfolios or public bug reports (share links!) If you have real testing experience, we encourage you to apply.
• Basic knowledge of accessibility testing standards (WCAG) to ensure our platform is truly inclusive.
• Familiarity with the tech stack we use (Next.js, Supabase, mobile development frameworks).
• Exposure to basic automation concepts or tools (like Cypress or Playwright).
• Interest in EdTech and tools built for the Deaf community.

This is an UNPAID full-time internship position with a duration of 4 months, starting immediately. You will have the opportunity to work directly with the Deaf community and play an active role in improving Deaf education. We provide a Certificate, Letter of Recommendation, extensive learning opportunities, and the chance to make a direct social impact on the education of Deaf students.
