Job Summary

SolveByte is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic QA Engineer to join our dedicated team in Indore. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and reliability of our iGaming platforms, including casino solutions, sportsbook software, and related applications. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting test cases, identifying and reporting bugs, and working closely with the development team to deliver high-quality products. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with 0-2 years of experience looking to build a career in software quality assurance within the exciting iGaming industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications and requirements to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Execute manual test cases (functional, regression, usability, performance, and security testing) across web and mobile platforms.
• Identify, isolate, document, and track bugs and defects meticulously using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issues are resolved without introducing new problems.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of test documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports).
• Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments.
• Stay updated with new testing tools, techniques, and best practices in software quality assurance.
• Provide timely and accurate feedback to the development team on product quality and user experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in software quality assurance or a -similar role.
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with manual testing for web and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a passion for quality.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred/Bonus Skills

• ISTQB Foundation Level certification or other relevant QA certifications.
• Basic understanding of automation testing concepts and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress).
• Familiarity with API testing (e.g., using Postman).
• Knowledge of SQL and database concepts for data verification.
• Experience in testing iGaming, casino, or sportsbook platforms.
• Understanding of agile/scrum development methodologies
• Exposure to performance and security testing concepts.
