QA Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated QA/SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with 9 to 13 years of industry experience to join our quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in software testing, automation frameworks, and quality assurance best practices to support the development of high-quality, scalable, and reliable software products. This role demands strong technical acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• As a seasoned QA/SDET professional, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test frameworks and test suites for web, API, and mobile applications.
• You will work closely with software engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to understand application functionality, define test strategies, identify test cases, and ensure comprehensive coverage through automation.
• In this role, you are expected to take ownership of the quality process, lead initiatives for improving test infrastructure, and mentor junior team members in automation practices and quality mindset.
  
  

Requirements

• You must have hands-on experience with modern automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, REST Assured, Postman, and other open-source technologies.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#, is essential, along with expertise in writing maintainable, reusable, and efficient test code.
• A deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems like Git, and build tools such as Maven or Gradle is also expected.
• In addition to technical capabilities, the role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate test results, isolate defects, and provide detailed documentation to the development teams.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is necessary, as you will be actively participating in sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and delivering on tight timelines.
• Experience in performance testing, security testing, and cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) will be considered a strong plus.
• The successful candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of leading quality initiatives, engaging with stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement across QA practices.
• You will champion a culture of quality, help implement metrics and dashboards to track testing efficiency, and contribute to the overall architecture of test automation solutions across the organization.
