QA Engineer

About the job:

As a QA engineer, you will assist the QA team in ensuring the quality of software products. You will be involved in various stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, test planning, test execution, and defect tracking. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in test planning: Collaborate with the QA team to understand project requirements and contribute to the creation of test plans and test cases.
2. Test execution: Perform manual testing of software applications based on predefined test cases and identify, document, and report bugs and issues.
3. Manual and automation testing: Assist in developing and executing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or others (if applicable).
4. Defect tracking: Log and track defects in the defect management system, follow up with developers for resolutions, and verify fixes.
5. Regression Testing: Participate in regression testing to ensure that recent code changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
6. Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
7. Continuous improvement: Provide feedback on test processes and suggest improvements.

Other Requirements:

1. 1. Education: A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
2. 2. Basic Knowledge: Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC)
3. 3. Basic knowledge of JavaScript, or frontend technologies
4. 4. Knowledge of tools such as Postman, Dev Tools, and JMeter
5. 5. Familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, JIRA, or other test management tools
6. 6. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
7. 7. Good communication and teamwork skills
