The Generalized Agents and Incubations team is a high-impact innovation group within Microsoft Security, focused on building agentic AI systems that generalise across tasks, tools, and domains. Responsibilities

Design and build agentic AI systems that generalise across domains and tools, leveraging GenAI techniques to deliver intelligent automation in security workflows. Prototype and iterate rapidly on LLM-powered agents and multi-modal models, driving innovation in a fast-paced, startup-style environment. Contribute across the full stack, from model development and backend services to frontend interfaces that enable intuitive agent interactions. Collaborate cross-functionally with research, product, and engineering teams to translate cutting-edge ideas into production-grade solutions. Champion engineering excellence, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability in every layer of the AI product stack.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in software engineering or AI systems development, with a strong track record of shipping impactful products. Deep expertise in machine learning, deep learning, or GenAI workflows; experience with LLMs and autonomous agents preferred. Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow; experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred). Experience contributing to full-stack development, including backend services and frontend interfaces for AI workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
