Senior QA Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior QA Engineer with 17 to 21 years of professional experience in quality assurance, software testing, and QA leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of QA methodologies, frameworks, and tools, along with a proven track record of managing complex QA projects, driving process improvements, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This role requires not just technical expertise, but also strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, making it ideal for someone who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping and evolving our quality assurance strategies across various software projects.
• You will be responsible for designing comprehensive test plans, managing end-to-end QA processes, and guiding teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance products.
• Your role will include working closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, DevOps, and support, to ensure that quality is embedded at every stage of the software development lifecycle.
• You will be expected to assess risks, identify gaps in existing processes, and implement best practices in both manual and automated testing.
• In addition to technical proficiency, this role demands a hands-on leader who can mentor and guide junior QA engineers, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and champion quality across the organization.
• Your ability to lead testing strategy for large-scale enterprise systems, preferably in agile and DevOps environments, will be essential.
• Moreover, a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems like Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is important for success in this role.
• You will also be involved in release management, defect triaging, root cause analysis, and continuous monitoring of product quality in production environments.
• The ability to report and communicate QA metrics to technical and non-technical stakeholders is key, as is a data-driven mindset in driving product and process improvements.
  
  

Requirements

• Candidates with prior experience in leading QA transformation initiatives, setting up COEs (Centers of Excellence), or implementing enterprise-level quality governance frameworks will be given preference.
• An engineering degree (BE/BTech/MTech) in Computer Science or a related field is required, and certifications like ISTQB, CSTE, or PMP will be considered a plus.
• Experience with tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, Jenkins, Postman, and performance testing suites like JMeter or LoadRunner will be highly valued.
• You should also be proficient in scripting and automation frameworks, with the ability to contribute to test automation at the framework level.
