Job Overview

TurboTax, a household name, delivers cutting-edge tax software that makes filing stress-free and straightforward for millions of users across the globe.About Your Team:As a part of our dynamic TurboTax Mobile team, you'll collaborate with fellow ingenious minds in San Diego, Toronto, and here in Bangalore. Together, you'll innovate and iterate on the TurboTax mobile app — loved and lauded for its user-friendly design and empowering features like automatic W-2 import, deduction maximization, and refund tracking.
Responsibilities
- Leading and mentoring junior developers in the team
- Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, project & test planning
- Designing/developing Android mobile apps, prototypes and Proof of concepts (POC’s)
- Applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems
- Roughly 95% hands-on coding
- Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
- Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies
- Identifying and mitigating technical risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Designing reusable components and frameworks
- Actively participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers
- Experience with performance optimization and tuning of applications
- Working closely with project managers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions - Contributing to the design and architecture of the project
- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM methodologies
Qualifications
- BS/MS in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in Android development
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior developers
- Expertise in Java, Kotlin, Compose and other Android frameworks
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and architecture principles
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Passionate about staying up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Android development.
