Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer – Full Stack with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and modern frontend technologies to join our engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with a Silicon Valley product startup building scalable SaaS products for the construction technology domain.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and develop full-stack applications across frontend, backend, and database layers
• Build scalable and maintainable backend services using Ruby on Rails
• Develop modern, responsive, and high-performance frontend applications using React, Angular, or similar frontend frameworks
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and external systems
• Design and develop scalable microservices-based applications and distributed systems
• Build and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and RDS
• Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Amazon ECS
• Design event-driven and serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and messaging systems
• Contribute to system architecture, scalability, performance optimization, security, and engineering best practices
• Develop backend services and utilities using Golang and NodeJS, where applicable
• Utilize AI-assisted and agentic coding tools to improve engineering efficiency, code quality, and developer productivity
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure to support reliable deployments
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices across the team

Required Skills & Experience

Must Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
• Strong hands-on experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, RESTful APIs, Distributed Systems, and Microservices Architecture
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Experience building and deploying containerized applications using Docker
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI
• Experience using AI-powered developer tools and Agentic Coding workflows
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers

Good to Have Skills

• Good hands-on experience with Golang
• Good hands-on experience with NodeJS
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including AWS Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and RDS
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and infrastructure automation
• Exposure to Elasticsearch, analytics systems, or AI/ML-based applications

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
