About the Role:

The next big goal for Confluent is to make it as easy as possible for anyone to use Confluent’s products, including Kafka, to build their next killer streaming application. We are at the beginning of this journey and are looking for great engineers to come join our world-class team that is passionate about building and running large-scale, multi-tenant distributed systems for customers that expect a very high level of availability.

The client team is involved in building libraries for the Kafka developers of those organizations who are in their journey building applications using Kafka as their streaming platform. Using these libraries, organizations can build their apps to handle the data at scale with high throughput and performance.

What You Will Do:

• Contribute to publicly visible Confluent maintained Open Source repos dealing with non java Kafka client libraries. These libraries will be used by customers who are building applications keeping Kafka at the centre.
• Build the library primarily using the good old C programming language which also powers other popular language wrapper libraries.
• Show love to our customers by solving their production or go-live issues closely collaborating with global support teams.

What You Will Bring:

• 3+ years industry experience in building applications using c language. Experience in languages like .net, python, javascript is an added advantage.
• Expertise in solving multi threading issues, addressing memory leak or other resource related issues by optimizing
• Having some experience implementing security using oAuth, mTLS, RBAC and ACLs
