Senior Software Engineer, Engineering Productivity

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with AI/ML technologies.
• Experience in front end technologies like TypeScript, Angular etc.
• Experience in Android, Android OS or embedded systems.
• Excellent knowledge of product life-cycle, tools, processes and operations planning.

In this role, you will work with the Engineering Productivity Team in India with a focus on delivering productivity platforms and artifacts for a global silicon software team. You will focus on a wide aperture of software development problems from front end to back end and infrastructure development for high availability services.

Responsibilities

• Design of creative solutions to complex problems, write organized, clean and maintainable code with minimal assistance.
• Build innovative solutions for Engineering productivity software components with focus on scale, high availability, quality and usage of Google Infrastructure.
• Build systems to simplify the setup and maintenance of CI and code coverage.
• Improve development efficiency across the silicon organization and possibly Google-wide through tooling improvements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the development process and influence technical decisions.
