You will lead the technical advancement of our products, guaranteeing they remain scalable, maintainable, and resilient over time. Working in close partnership with product teams, you will convert strategic requirements into concrete technical design and address sophisticated challenges while upholding rigorous quality benchmarks. Your decisions will define the product's trajectory and shape how thousands of students learn and develop.

What You Will Be Doing
- Feature Development: Architecting and delivering new features with emphasis on scalability, maintainability, and sustained product value.
- Requirement Engineering: Partnering with product teams to clarify requirements and spearheading technical conversations to ensure features align with product objectives.
- Operations and Maintenance: Overseeing and preserving product reliability, optimizing performance, and preemptively detecting and addressing issues.
- Technical Design: Making high-stakes technical choices that directly shape user experiences and product scalability.
- Jumping between short-lived projects or pursuing the latest hype-driven technology trends.
- Contributing to internal IT systems or outsourced initiatives that lack genuine user impact.
- Being trapped in endless meetings or handling tedious infrastructure problems.
Senior Software Engineer key responsibilities
- At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
- At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
- At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
- Experience in using generative AI in your day-to-day development work.

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
