About The Team

Work within our Enterprise Integration and Automation IT team and be part of this team that helps ensure our applications integrations and workflow automation technologies can deliver the capabilities to support our growing banking operations, as well as support our expansion roadmap. You will work closely with cross-functional business, IT and vendor teams to ensure we are delivering the right-sized solutions to meet current, future and long-term needs in support of our banking product processing and continuing expansion efforts.

Impact

As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Enterprise Integration and Automation group. This role will focus on software development for more than one delivery initiatives towards system integration and workflow automation solutions using Appian and other integration technologies at the bank that includes but not limited to Java, Apigee, Oracle SOA and Microservices.

Key Deliverables

• Build end-to-end BPM solutions using Appian (process models, SAIL interfaces, records, reports)
• Create reusable components and adhere to Appian design best practices.
• Work closely with business analysts, stakeholder and other developers to gather and refine requirements. Develop scalable and maintainable process models using BPMN standards within the Appian platform. Design automated workflows with appropriate routing, escalation, and SLA settings. Implement integration with external systems using RESTful web services, Appian Web APIs, and Connected Systems. Create and manage Appian data stores and entities. Optimize queries and ensure efficient data access within the application.
  
  

Functional Skills

Skills and Qualification

• Able to analyze existing workflows and identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
• Design end-to-end business process using BPMN 2.0 notation within Appian.
• Define logical data structures to support process automation.
• Collaborate with data architects to ensure the Appian schema meets business needs.
• Ensure designs adhere to usability and accessibility standards.
• Understand and enforce role-based access controls (RBAC) and data privacy requirements.
• Ensure process designs incorporate audit logging, approvals, and segregation of duties.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Appian BPM platform (preferably version 20.x or higher)
• Expertise in designing, developing, and implementing Appian applications, including process models, Expression rules and constants, records and data stores, reports, and dashboards.
• Experience with Appian integration using Web APIs (RESTful services), connected systems, integration with external databases, web services, and third-party systems.
• Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server). Ability to write efficient queries and use Appian Data Store Entities.
• Experience with Appian unit testing tools, proficiency in debugging and optimizing Appian applications.
• Understanding of Appian Security Architecture and role-based access control implementation
  
  

Relationships & Collaboration

• Work closely with product manager s, designers, QA engineers and other stakeholders to define, design and deliver high quality software solutions. Participate in daily stand-ups, code reviews, sprint planning, and team retrospectives.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members to ensure alignment and progress.
• Collaborate within agile frameworks, contributing to a fast-paced, iterative development cycle with continuous feedback and improvement.
