Systems/Software Engineer/Lead, Tech (Software Engineer - Applications)

We are looking for an experienced software developer to join the application engineering team in the Systems group, based in the firm’s offices in Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Gurugram. The team is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise scale applications and its surrounding infrastructure. The team specializes in web application development, improving end-user productivity and enhancing developer experience. Our expertise spans web and mobile application development, application infrastructure, and CI/CD tooling. WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:

In this role, you will execute individual projects and deliverables while collaborating with firmwide business units and other groups in Systems to improve and enhance product offerings. You will also drive complete project lifecycles, from collecting and analyzing requirements to project delivery/deployment to clients. The role focuses on providing technical leadership including mentorship, knowledge sharing, guiding the professional development of junior engineers, and collaboration with team managers on operational and strategic visioning for the team.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in maintaining and engineering enterprise-level applications, along with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline
• Experience with a variety of programming languages and development environments, focusing on platform-agnostic software for Linux and Windows. Preferred languages include Python, JavaScript, Java, and Go. Advanced knowledge of front-end technologies like React and other modern JavaScript frameworks is also desired
• Advanced knowledge of architecture, software design principles, and experience with microservices, containerization, CI/CD, and event-based systems. Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
• An understanding of software development principles, quantitative abilities, data structures, problem-solving, and robust analytical skills with an ability to work in an agile environment
• The capability to lead project execution, including the ability to translate complex data into understandable results
• Excellent interpersonal communication, and stakeholder management skills
