Senior Manager - Data Architect ( BFSI )

Preferred Experience: 15+ years

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of robust data architectures on cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud, as well as on-premises solutions like Cloudera, tailored for the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, architectures, and datasets to facilitate real-time data integration, ensuring seamless data flow across financial systems.
• Ensure that data architecture aligns with business requirements and supports the creation of innovative data products that drive business value in the BFSI domain.
• Apply expertise in SQL and data modeling to manage and manipulate large, complex datasets, ensuring high performance and reliability in financial data processing.
• Utilize data virtualization tools to provide efficient access to various data sources, enhancing data accessibility and usability for financial analytics.
• Implement Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality frameworks to maintain high data integrity and accuracy across the organization, crucial for compliance and reporting in BFSI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate industry-standard data sources and systems, including core banking systems, CRM platforms, risk management tools, and regulatory reporting systems.
• Uphold data governance and data integrity principles specific to the BFSI industry, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in financial data management.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture or a related field, with a proven track record of success in designing and implementing data solutions in the BFSI sector.
• Proven experience with Databricks / Snowflake and cloud technologies (Azure/Google Cloud), demonstrating the ability to leverage cloud capabilities for data architecture in financial services.
• Familiarity with on-premises data solutions like Cloudera, showcasing versatility in data architecture approaches for financial institutions.
• Extensive experience in the Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance sectors, with a deep understanding of industry-specific data challenges and regulatory requirements.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with real-time data integration, along with a solid understanding of Data Products, Data Fabric, and data virtualization tools.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality principles, ensuring data reliability and governance in financial contexts.
• Proficiency with industry-standard data sources and systems relevant to BFSI, including core banking systems, CRM platforms, and regulatory reporting tools.
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, providing a strong foundation for technical expertise.
