Job Description

As a Sr Test Engineer , you will bring your 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance to play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products within the Revenue Science industry.

Building upon your extensive expertise, you will collaborate closely with our experienced test engineering team to advance testing processes and contribute to the growth of our company.

This position offers the opportunity for increased responsibility and leadership in areas such as test automation and advanced testing techniques. Additionally, you may take on the role of a team lead, providing guidance and mentoring junior team members.

Major Responsibilities

Years of Experience : 4 to 6

• Test Strategy : Lead the development of comprehensive test cases, and test scripts, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry best practices.
• Test Automation : Spearhead the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of automated test scripts, leveraging your expertise in automation tools and frameworks to drive efficiency and reliability.
• Manual Testing : Continue to excel in manual testing activities, including exploratory testing, regression testing, and usability testing, serving as a role model for the team.
• Defect Management Ownership : Manage the identification and documentation of defects, issues, and inconsistencies using bug tracking tools, providing expert guidance on prioritization and resolution.
• Test Execution and Reporting : Execute complex test cases with precision, meticulously report test results, and provide actionable feedback to the team, driving timely bug fixes and continuous improvements.
• Regression Testing Leadership : Lead regression testing efforts, ensuring new code changes maintain the integrity of existing functionality while implementing efficient testing strategies.
• Integration Testing Contribution : Play a pivotal role in verifying the integration of various software components and systems, ensuring seamless interoperability in complex environments.
• Ownership and Task Prioritization : Exhibit expert task management, owning and prioritizing tasks effectively, and mentoring junior team members to develop their skills.
• Effective Communication and Feedback : Offer timely, constructive feedback to peers and managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and open communication.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies, Education & Experience)

• A minimum of Five years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, showcasing a strong foundation in testing methodologies and practices.
• In-depth knowledge of advanced testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, with a proven track record in test automation.
• Proven ability to excel in test automation efforts, utilizing advanced automation tools and frameworks as an individual contributor.
• Expertise in version control systems (e.g., Git) and their application in software testing workflows.
• Unwavering attention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, accompanied by strong documentation and problem-solving abilities.
• Bachelors degree in engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (or relevant experience).
• Proficiency in bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and experience in optimizing defect management processes.
• Proficiency in relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. OR Proficiency with Mongo
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Groovy, with the ability to create custom test automation solutions.
• Experience with testing tools like K6 for performance testing, Selenium for web application testing, and unit testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud architecture, including exposure to observability tools like Datadog, demonstrating the ability to monitor and optimize system performance effectively.Good to
