Responsibilities:

• Execute manual test cases.

• To perform software tests to ensure quality.

• Able to document a bug or defect during testing.

• Work independently.

• Diligent and accurate in testing tasks.

• Understand the benefits of testing in delivering quality code.

• Author basic test scripts given training and an understanding of the system.

• Author test scripts and review the test scripts of others.

• Create test scripts suitable for automation.

• Learn to test a wider range of software.

• Tailor tests to ensure the appropriate amount of testing time are provided to areas of highest risk.

• Execute validation testing on a software solution and manage the test engineers to ensure on-time delivery.

• Communicate effectively with developers to explain the defects raised.

• Mentor and support junior testers.

• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle.

• Understanding how to use the Browser Developer Tools.

• Literate in using computer software and enterprise web applications.

• Learns and tries to use basic tools (Test case management, Test plan, Bug tracking).

• Has solid communication skills and attention to details.

• Has theoretical knowledge on ISTQB Foundation Level and knows how to use it in practice

• Consistently follows all engineering standards adopted by the team/project..

• Interacts with and influences colleagues and contributes fully to the work of teams by appreciating how own role relates to other roles.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.

Preferred Certifications:
ISTQB

Work Experience:

• 3-5 years’ experience in manual testing.

• Proficiency in backend testing (API), Browser Developer Tool knowledge

• Know how to implement risk-based testing (Nice to have).

• Understand Industry Standards and Practices (Nice to have)
