Job Details
Responsibilities:
Execute manual test cases.
To perform software tests to ensure quality.
Able to document a bug or defect during testing.
Work independently.
Diligent and accurate in testing tasks.
Understand the benefits of testing in delivering quality code.
Author basic test scripts given training and an understanding of the system.
Author test scripts and review the test scripts of others.
Create test scripts suitable for automation.
Learn to test a wider range of software.
Tailor tests to ensure the appropriate amount of testing time are provided to areas of highest risk.
Execute validation testing on a software solution and manage the test engineers to ensure on-time delivery.
Communicate effectively with developers to explain the defects raised.
Mentor and support junior testers.
Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle.
Understanding how to use the Browser Developer Tools.
Literate in using computer software and enterprise web applications.
Learns and tries to use basic tools (Test case management, Test plan, Bug tracking).
Has solid communication skills and attention to details.
Has theoretical knowledge on ISTQB Foundation Level and knows how to use it in practice
Consistently follows all engineering standards adopted by the team/project..
Interacts with and influences colleagues and contributes fully to the work of teams by appreciating how own role relates to other roles.
May oversee others or make decisions which impact routine work assigned to individuals or stages of projects. Has working level contact with customers, suppliers and partners.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.
Preferred Certifications:
ISTQB
Work Experience:
3-5 years’ experience in manual testing.
Proficiency in backend testing (API), Browser Developer Tool knowledge
Know how to implement risk-based testing (Nice to have).
Understand Industry Standards and Practices (Nice to have)
