Software Development Engineer in Test Lead (SDET Lead)

Job Summary:

As an SDET Lead at Enpass, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our

applications across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, Web application, and browser

extensions). You will work closely with development, product, and QE teams to build and

maintain automation test frameworks, write test cases, and ensure that our software

meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for functional, regression,

and performance testing across platforms (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Web

app and browser extensions).

• Collaborate with development teams to identify testable requirements and plan

automated test strategies.

• Working knowledge of the Cucumber framework for behaviour-driven development (BDD).

• Write and execute comprehensive test cases (automated) to ensure application functionality, security, and performance.

• Ability to document and maintain test case execution and results using TestRail.

• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.

• Investigate, document, and track issues/bugs using tools like JIRA or similar

platforms.

• Analyse test results, identify trends, and provide insights for continuous

improvement.

• Stay updated on emerging testing technologies and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.

• Research, analyse and implement AI based tools, techniques in overall STLC to improve productivity of testers.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to SDET, promoting best practices in test automation and performance testing.

Required Skills and Experience:

• bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or

equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation.

• Proficiency in Java/Python programming language.

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium,

TestNG, or similar.

• Proven experience in designing and creating automation frameworks from scratch for Windows & Mac desktop applications.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., ec2-Bitbucket runner, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

• Well versed with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI

• Familiarity with security standards and practices for data protection and

encryption.

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing life cycles, and best practices.

• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cross-platform testing strategies for mobile and desktop

applications.

• Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter.

• Knowledge of how Automation can leverage AI.
