Overview

We are seeking experienced Software Application Developers to join a product-focused engineering team working on a foundational web service platform that enables customization of charting and data-driven solutions for commercial customers. This role involves developing and maintaining full-stack Java-based applications, including both frontend and backend components, deployed on Microsoft Azure.

The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, technically strong, and experienced in delivering enterprise-grade software solutions. You will work closely with senior technical leaders and cross-functional teams in an Agile SAFe environment, contributing to feature development, system design, and continuous improvement while meeting defined milestones and business objectives.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including coding and unit testing
• 6+ years of professional software development experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Strong experience with Java-based object-oriented development (backend and frontend)
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React
• Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
• Proficiency with JSON, XML, and SQL
• Experience with software build and deployment tools and IDEs
• Hands-on experience with Maven, Jenkins, Git-based repositories, and artifact management tools
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms
• Experience using code quality and security analysis tools (e.g., SonarQube, Coverity, Rapid7)
• Experience with issue tracking and documentation tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and defect management skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and validation teams
  
  
  

Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality software solutions
• Develop both frontend and backend components using Java-based technologies
• Analyze requirements and translate them into well-architected software designs
• Create, maintain, and execute automated unit tests to meet quality and compliance standards
• Participate in internal code reviews, walkthroughs, and lifecycle data reviews
• Develop and maintain design documentation and software implementation artifacts
• Contribute to software requirements definition, verification, and validation activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across software components
• Provide estimates, recommendations, and input for component-level project planning
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, project reviews, and compliance audits
• Collaborate with validation teams on automated testing frameworks when required
• Support deployment, integration, and operational issue resolution
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced developers
• Contribute to process improvement, tooling, and adoption of industry best practices
